Happy January,

I hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday season. As I reflect on the previous 12 months, I am grateful for the opportunity to do what I do. Insurance in the grand scheme of things may not seem that important to most, until you need most. Trees falling on your roof, your car skidding off an icy road into a ditch, locking your keys in the family Suburban at a Taco Bell in Lincoln City (oddly specific because it happened to me) ... In my spare time, I love coaching youth sports, especially basketball and baseball. I have been involved in Glencoe youth sports (Hillsboro) for eight years. I am also a huge sports nerd (Go Giants and Blazers), an Oregon State alum and huge supporter of OSU Beavers athletics. Taking my kids to the city pool, having sushi with my wife, and sampling all the local ice creameries with my family are among my passions in the local area.

With regards to my agency, I am passionate about providing top-notch customer service for my customers. I come from a financial services and waiting tables background, and having a personable and empathetic experience is what keeps my customer happy and creates many opportunities to help more people in my community. Being knowledgeable with the ins and outs of auto insurance is one of my strengths. A lot the times, customers do not even know what they have, and I take pride in explaining all of the fine print, such that every customer is comfortable with their insurance package, which may also include their homeowners insurance, renters insurance and condo insurance.

I have been involved with a Hillsboro-based youth basketball clinic, Little Dribblers, since its inception in 2017. Volunteering for kids K through 4th grade, showing them fundamental basketball skills is one of my favorite ways to spend dark and dreary winter Saturday mornings in January and February. This provides me not only a way to be active in my community, but also aid in meeting new people who I may be able to help with more than rebounding and passing. This also provides me a great opportunity to burn off the added weight from the holidays.
